Role overview

As an Associate Trader within Flutter UK&I you will be at the heart of our customer operations, with a key role supporting our trading teams in upholding the highest standards of product availability and customer experience. In addition, you will be given the opportunity to learn the basic principles of sportsbook risk management and play your part in helping to safeguard our business for the future.

The world of sportsbook trading is extremely fast paced, with no two days ever the same and so a willingness to learn is essential. The successful candidate will thrive under pressure and adapt quickly to developing situations. Innovation is at the centre of everything we do; we are always on the lookout for creative, critical-thinkers who are going to help ensure our number one product remains industry-leading.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Collecting/using data to challenge our ways of working and finding solutions to inefficiencies.
  • Utilising industry market information and data packs to compile sportsbook odds.
  • Settling of winning/losing sportsbook bets once results are known.
  • Managing liabilities to ensure we are never over-leveraged into specific outcomes and communicating our most significant positions to leadership.
  • Effective management of our customer bases to maximise expected margin.
  • Trading sportsbook odds live, whilst events are In-play.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • This an entry level role and no previous sportsbook trading experience is required. A keen interest in sport, however, is highly preferable.
  • A proven track record of attention to detail, working under pressure and willingness to develop new skills are paramount.
  • Ideally, the successful candidate will have a degree or significant professional experience in mathematics, statistics, finance, data analysis or other related discipline.
  • Reasonable computer skills are required from the outset and intermediary to advanced Microsoft Excel skills would be desirable.
