Rolls-Royce is one of the world’s most iconic names and we’ve been at the cutting-edge of innovation for over a century. We have a long history of achieving extraordinary goals and our ambitions for the future of power and our changing company are no less bold. Join us and you can help transform the way we power, protect, and connect people across the globe - our business and commercial performance is vital to our success.

On this programme you can expect exceptional commercial exposure and business experience. You’ll build your skills in areas as diverse as HR, finance, supply chain, programme management and delivery, strategy, innovation, commercial and contracts and IT.

What you'll do on the programme

This accelerated programme is all about giving our graduates the breadth of business experience that we know our future leaders will need for our business to thrive. This could include working with customers or supply chain, procurement, HR, strategy, innovation, government relationships, commercial and contracts. You could be involved in sales opportunities and contract negotiations. Or you could find yourself helping purchase the parts for a highly efficient jet engine, a building or IT system. Whatever your destination, you'll focus on building strong connections with our partners, suppliers, and customers.

You'll be aligned to one of our business areas, Defence, Group IT, Group Business Services or Rolls-Royce Power Solutions UK. The first year of the programme is designed to broadly develop the essential skills and capabilities we’ve identified you’ll need to be a future leader at Rolls-Royce, with the flexibility to curate your experience.

You’ll choose rotational 'gigs', moving from team to team and project to project to build these skills. We want to inspire you and give you as many options as possible at this early stage of your career. It’s all about growth, and how you we can help you find the best fit. Throughout, you’ll develop your understanding of the opportunities within our business before you choose an area of expertise in which to specialise.

During your programme, you’ll gain invaluable insight into the scope and variety of the work we do. And, with a combination of digital learning and on-the-job training and development, you’ll see your ideas come to life with help and guidance from industry experts. At the end of the programme, you’ll have the opportunity to move into a 24-month substantive role with further defined learning and support in preparation for future leadership roles, or to find a specialist role in the business.

You’ll be supported by your very own career coach, whose job it is to help you realise your full potential – not just on the programme, but beyond. You’ll feel included, developed, recognised, and motivated to succeed. At Rolls-Royce, we’re committed to a culture of continuous learning and we’ll draw up a framework based on your interests, aspirations, and goals.

What you'll need to be successful

This programme is all about potential and we're open to degrees in any subject. What's most important to us is that you live and breathe our values (Trust, Integrity and Safety) and behaviours (Agile, Bold, Collaborative and Simple) and want to shape the future of our business

You’ll be as passionate as we are about the future of more sustainable power. You’ll need to be open-minded, curious, collaborative, and agile in your approach to solving problems and in developing the skills to bring the best out in the people around you. We'll also ask you to consider the area you would prefer to work in - so think about how your degree or skills or interests could benefit one of those areas.

You must be flexible about where you work and be open to travelling between locations if required. We see hybrid working as a way to balance and flex our time between the office, home, or another remote working place. We’ve committed everyone to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons on average three days per week, but specific arrangements will be dependent on your role and placement. We encourage and support flexible working arrangements where we can. This includes which days, how many hours and at what times you need to work.

What you'll get in return

You’ll be a full-time employee, working on real projects and making a real difference from day one. That’s why we make sure you’re properly rewarded for the work you do.

  • 33 days’ annual leave including bank holidays
  • Bonus schemes
  • A choice of voluntary benefits including Cycle to Work scheme, employee discounts at nationwide stores, gyms, and discounted health care, life assurance and more all available on our TotalReward portal

Your personality, passion, and sense of purpose makes us who we are and a place where everyone belongs. And anything is possible. Be you. Be Rolls-Royce.
